  273. ===== Installation =====================================

  275. The installation procedure for NuTest is quite simple.  The
  276. package includes a program, "INSTALL.EXE", which automates the
  277. entire process.  You will need about 2Mbytes of available disk space
  278. on the hard drive on which you plan to install NuTest.
  279.  
  280. The exact steps you need to take will depend on how you received
  281. NuTest.
  282.  
  283. IMPORTANT NOTE
  284.  
  285. You must use INSTALL to transfer the files from the installation disk,
  286. do NOT use COPY. This is because the files have been compressed to fit
  287. them on the  distribution disk and will not be useable in compressed
  288. form. INSTALL automatically  expands them as it copies them to your
  289. working directory.
  290.  
  291. INSTALLING FROM DISKETTES
  292.  
  293. To install from diskette(s), you need to perform the following steps.
  294.  
  295.    o  Place the NuTest distribution diskette in the
  296.       appropriate diskette drive.
  297.  
  298.    o  Execute the "INSTALL.EXE" program on the distribution diskette
  299.       using File Manager or Program manager in the usual way.
  300.  
  301.    o  Follow the instructions presented by the installation program.
  302.       You will have a chance to approve installation before any changes
  303.       are actually made to the contents of your hard drive.  The
  304.       program will ask you for a destination directory and will copy
  305.       the NuTest files to that directory. If you so direct it, the
  306.       installation program will install executable programs and
  307.       documentation in other directories of your choice. It will NOT
  308.       modify your autoexec.bat or config.sys files.

  311. INSTALLING FROM A HARD DRIVE
  312.  
  313. If you downloaded NuTest from a BBS (or received it in the form of
  314. archive files from some other source), you will need to perform the
  315. following steps.

  317.    o  Extract the contents of the archive file in a temporary
  318.       directory on your hard drive.  The procedure for doing this
  319.       varies, depending on the form in which you received the package.
  320.       In all likelihood, the fact that you are reading this text means
  321.       that you already have the necessary tools and knowledge to
  322.       perform this step.  If not, you should be able to obtain
  323.       directions for this from the same source from which you
  324.       received the package.

  326.    o  Execute the "INSTALL.EXE" program in the temporary directory
  327.       using File Manager or Program manager in the usual way.

  345. program group in Program Manager or a new item in the Start button list

  351. be obscured by the Windows95 Task Bar when using certain screen
  352. resolutions. You can avoid this problem by setting the Windows95 Task
